The students of Std. VIII decided to have a outing as a study tour. They decided to visit the Padmanabhapuram Palace, the capital of the Travancore Kings. The sudden rain held up their plan. The rain on the previous day had flooded the places around the palace,  in Kanyakumari district of Tamil nadu state, and they could not enter the palace. The thirst for history of the students could not be held back even by the outpour. They returned back to Thiruvanathapuram and visited Kutthiramalika a well known museum of the Travancore Palace and the State Museum. The students also had a view of the flood and the relief operations going on in many places which was a first hand experience for them.
